Information regarding Palapelitaivas principles for ordering, delivery and returns. We may reconsider all contents, so be sure before ordering that you are aware of the current terms. 1. Ordering Products
Products are purchased and paid for in the webshop. They are sold in the order in which they are received. Products cannot be reserved.
Products we sell are usually in stock, but occasionally we may experience inventory discrepancies. In such situations, we contact the customer immediately and either deliver the product later or refund the money to their bank account.
In order to show EU residents the correct price in the shop, instead of 0 % VAT with all tax unpleasantly added in the cart only, we use the MaxMind GeoIP service to match your IP address to a specific country. If you’re using Tor or the like to mask your location, most likely you will not see the correct prices until you enter a billing address.
1.1 Payment
Palapelitaivas uses payment channels offered by Visma Pay and PayPal.
- Through the Visma Pay service you can use netbanking codes, wallets and payment cards (credit/debit).
- At your disposal are the following payment methods: Osuuspankki, Nordea, Danske Bank, Oma Säästöpankki, Säästöpankki, Aktia, Paikallisosuuspankit, S-Pankki, Handelsbanken, Ålandsbanken, MobilePay, Masterpass, Pivo, Siirto as well as Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, MasterCard and Debit MasterCard cards.

1.2 No Minimum Order Amount
Palapelitaivas has no minimum order amount in the webshop. You are welcome to buy according to your need.
1.3 Processing Time
We aim to process your order as quickly as possible, in a maximum of 14 days.
You will receive a confirmation via email, when we have handed over the parcel to our shipping partner. In the email, a tracking code is included.
2. Delivery
We use different shipping methods. The prices below include value added tax for countries within the European Union.
The cost is only what we must pay for to ship your order at lowest weight class possible, packaging and handling fees not included.
We aim to reuse packing materials such as box fillers and cardboard boxes, if they are in nice condition when arriving at our warehouse. For this reason, the delivery fee covers shipping only.
2.1 Delivery To Finland
In deliveries to Finland, we use DBSchenker, Matkahuolto and Posti.
Cost of delivery in Finland is:
- DBSchenker, pickup point: 7,02 € (incl. 24 % VAT)
- Matkahuolto Lähellä, pickup point: 7,11 € (24 %)
- Posti, post office and pickup point: 8,25 € (24 %)
- Posti, home delivery: 15,38 € (24 %)
2.2 Delivery To EU Countries
We deliver to countries in the European Union:
- Austria: 14,74 € (incl. 20 % VAT), Posti Parcel Connect

3. Returns
3.1 Return Policy
It’s important to Palapelitaivas that you are happy with your purchase. If a product doesn’t meet your expectations, you may return it within 14 days of purchase, as long as it is in unused and in the condition it were as you received it. Time of return starts from date of reception.
You may not start using the product during this time, but inspecting it equals a situation where you observe it in a brick-and-mortar shop.
Return covers unopened products only. Costs arising due to return are customer’s to pay for.
Right to return does not cover:
- Jigsaw puzzles sold at reduced cost, because we have used it once in our product testing.
- Jigsaw puzzles sold at reduced cost, because for example the box got squeezed a bit during shipping to our warehouse.
- Gift cards.
3.2 Notice Of Defect
If there are defects in products not covered by the right to return, it may be returned. In this case, return costs are for Palapelitaivas to cover.
It is the responsibility of Palapelitaivas to ensure goods are delivered to the customer in new condition and as per agreement. If a product is broken in transit, this must be notified to courier or immediately to Palapelitaivas customer service. In this case, return costs are for Palapelitaivas to cover.
As per consumer rights law, if in a product appears a manufacturing defect within six months of purchase, and product has been used in normal, appropriate ways during that time, it is considered flawed at the time of sale. In this situation, Palapelitaivas will have said product fixed or replaced with a similar product, delivered to customer. When defect is noticed, Palapelitaivas customer service must be notified wihout delay such that steps can be taken to make the situation right.
Palapelitaivas is not responsible for damages arising due to misuse of product or neglectful behaviour. Normal wear and tear are also not the responsibility of Palapelitaivas.
In the case of missing pieces of jigsaw puzzles, we view it as the manufacturer’s responsibility, since we are unable to test each product before selling it to our own customer. We encourage you to contact customer service of the manufacturer in question.
3.3 Return Via Postal System
Returned product must be unused, ready to be sold and packed in original wrapping.
Return is made to shop or at customer’s expense via postal system (the shipping channel originally used to receive goods).
Item(s) returned via mail must be packed carefully in Palapelitaivas original delivery material.
3.4 Refunding Money
When product has arrived in Palapelitaivas warehouse, we inspect its condition. We refund money via channel originally chosen by customer for payment within 14 days of arrival in shop.
If original order contained more than one product, we refund the amount corresponding to value of returned items.
If item has lost value compared to the original condition, customer is responsible for reimbursing Palapelitaivas calculated value lost. This is evaluated case by case. We charge for lost value and refund remaining amount.
Original delivery fee is not returned.
