Jigsaw Puzzle Shop in Helsinki
Our warehouse in the Lauttasaari neighbourhood of Helsinki, Finland, functions as a warehouse shop since April 2024. Our first Open House was so successful that we now offer shopping at both private appointments and during pop-up events.

1. Puzzle Shop Opening Hours
Option 1: Pop-up Shop
Our pop-up style open houses happen with irregular regularity. If this doesn’t work for you, you are most welcome also at other times. Consult option 2 in that case.

On this page we publish our next opening hours for a few weeks at a time into the future, about a month at a time.
We recommend getting familiar with the shop selection in advance in our webshop, since most puzzles are stored with narrow side toward the room. Usually the puzzle image in this view is the size of a stamp!
Option 2: Private Appointment
Please get in touch via email (info (at) palapelitaivas.fi), when you want to visit outside of the regular opening hours (option 2), at a time best suitable to you.
We open the warehouse upon agreement when possible on working days during business hours, in the evenings and during weekends.
Please cancel in advance, if you are unable to show up after all.
2. Prices
Prices are the same as in the webshop. At the moment they are not on display in the warehouse, but one by one they can be requested from our iPad app, alternatively looked up on your own phone.
When adding products to the shopping basket, you can see on screen the current total sum as well as remove some products and add others. There is no mandatory shopping either!
3. Payment Device
We use the Zettle payment device, which has been good in the past. It works with close-contact payments (lähimaksu), the most common debit/credit cards, and Apple Pay and Google Pay.
You can ask for a receipt to be sent via email, or text message to your phone.
4. Puzzle Shop Address and Building
You find us in Itälahdenkatu 18 A, 00210 Helsinki.
The building is an office building, and we are located on the 5th floor. From street level you can reach us either by elevator or staircase.
5. Arriving by Car
There is free parking for four hours in Itälahdenkatu, provided you use the parking disc.
Right in front of the main door there are paid Aimo Park parking spaces, but these shouldn’t be necessary to use, as there are available spaces in the street usually.
6. Arriving by Public Transportation
In Itälahdenkatu there are two stops in each direction for bus 21.
Its end stop is near Lauttis shopping centre to which the metro arrives. You can choose either Lauttasaarentie or Gyldénintie exit, the latter of which is less complicated.
From downtown Helsinki, bus 21 is a faster alternative (from its end stop in Kamppi shopping centre), because changing vehicles and transferring between underground and surface levels takes some time.
The closest bus stop is “Vattuniemi” at the corner of Itälahdenkatu and Nahkahousuntie:
- H1080 when driving south from the metro, in which case the bus is headed towards downtown.
- H1051 when arriving by bus from downtown, in which case it is headed towards the metro station.
If you were to step off the bus on the Itälahdenkatu stop “Wavulinintie” (H1081/1082), the walking distance to our address Itälahdenkatu 18 A is not long.
